Celebrating Refugee Week 2013
Celebrating the positive contributions that refugees have made to the UK is what we love about Refugee Week 2013, which takes place between 17 – 23 June.
This year we asked Survivors Speak OUT, the only torture survivor activist network in the UK, about British life and culture. They told us about The Queen, democracy, football matches, fair play, human rights, good manners and complaints about the weather - traditions and quirks that join the British together. They are also the things that Survivors Speak OUT members feel proud to be part of, even though they were born thousands of miles away.
Listen to members of Survivors Speak OUT tell you more in their own words
